These are a few of...

...my favorite things. In Ghana!

Many days of sunshine. Plenty of Vitamin D to go around!

Fresh fruits and vegetables from the markets. Always delicious and fresh!
Children playing outside rather than getting obese in front of a video game

Fufu!

Cheap public transportation

Meat pies – Africa’s version of a polish perogi
fried dough stuffed with corned beef and onions

Alvaro – the U.S. needs to get on this stuff!

Beaches lined with palm trees

Delicious homemade bread
People willing to help everywhere you go

Sunsets

  1. Those are all very beautiful pictures and it looks like a great place to live. The beaches and lots of sunshine must fit well together (: And i definitely agree that the children outside playing is MUCH better than them being inside stuck to a TV.

And also they could have a healthy breakfast, lunch , dinner . to stay healthy .

  3. The photos are beautiful. Other than the ones shown, what types of food do you eat there? Are there any American choices like pizza, hamburgers etc? Also, what do you like to do in your free time?

  5. Nadija--I eat a lot of rice with vegetable stews. Sometimes pasta with tomato sauce. The school also serves a lot of beans for lunch. Sometimes I eat in the staff room and don't have to cook! If I travel about an hour from my college, I can get pizza and hamburgers. In my free time I read a lot. I also watch DVDs, write my blog, play on Pinterest and Facebook, or chat with friends and family on Skype. Occasionally I take a walk to town, but there isn't really much to do there, so I hang at my house a lot.

Lindsey--I like some things here, and some things I'm not so fond of. I will be glad to get back to the U.S.
